Studio Liaison
My professional life began as an accountant in the property management market and progressed through VP of Operations for a local payroll service bureau. A couple of years working 60 hours a week led me to the conclusion that this wasn't the place for me. Following a couple of years of "retirement", the ownership of a little plaster painting store kind of fell into my lap. From this humble beginning, we moved to a larger store 3 1/2 years later and added PYOP & mosaics to our offerings. Then in 2006, we added glass fusing. I now consider myself one of the lucky people. I get to work in this amazing industry & I get to be with my family most of the time. My husband works here full time, my son used to manage the store before he joined the Marines, & my two teenage daughters both work here part time. Even my mother comes in a couple of days a week & helps out. Being on the Board of Directors has been icing on the cake for me as I get to meet & talk (& chat) to so many people who are in this same world & I get to work to make the industry better.
