"The 2007 Great Shapes event was the fifth auction hosted by CCSA benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation affiliates and the generosity of our members is just amazing,” said Angie Verburg, Executive Director of CCSA. “Over the past four years the CCSA has raised over $91,000. Add those totals to this year’s auction total of $47,000 and CCSA has donated more than $138,000 to local Susan G. Komen Foundations.” Proceeds from the auctions are donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation affiliates that are located where the annual convention is held.
In total, over 800 ceramic masterpieces have been created and donated by members for the silent and live auctions. Auction pieces are then sold or raffled to CCSA members, all small business owners.
